I Am Rohingya: Guelph Screening + Youth Workshop
Date and time
Description
They will not be erased. They will not be silenced.
I Am Rohingya: A Genocide in Four Acts chronicles the journey of 14 Rohingya youth who resolve to theatrically re-enact their families' experiences in Burma and beyond, ultimately to raise awareness for a conflict that has increasingly resembled a cruel and systematic ethnic cleansing campaign.
Join us at 5:30pm on June 22 at 10C Shared Space in Guelph for a special screening of the documentary, followed by dinner and a Q&A session with the incredibly brave and inventive Rohingya youth community of Kitchener-Waterloo. Individuals who self-identify as youth are invited to stay after the screening and Q&A to participate in a workshop on youth, community action, and the arts.
Tickets are available on a pay-what-you-can basis, with a suggested donation of $12.
