Come learn about how to make your after-school program a healthier place to be!

The objectives of this session are to:

  • Provide guidance on what foods to serve and how to get participants active in after-school programs.
  • Provide resources to help you implement programming to promote healthy eating and active living.

This training session will support school and after-school program staff and volunteers to promote healthy eating and active living. After-school programs will receive the Healthy Eating and Active Living Guidelines, in addition to the I Love to Cook and Play and I Love to Garden program manuals [includes lesson plans, hands-on activities, healthy recipes, games and more!] during this training session.

This workshop will take place at Ottawa Public Health, Mary Pitt Centre, 100 Constellation Drive, Ottawa. Visitor parking is available in the lot immediately east of the building.

November 5, 2019 9:30am-12pm at Ottawa Public Health, Mary Pitt Centre in the Mustang Room.

French workshop:

October 28, 2019 from 9:30am-12pm at 255 Centrum Blvd, Room 328.
