I Read Canadian Event - The Alligator in Naomi's Pillow with David Giuliano
Event Information
About this Event
It’s the middle of the night and Naomi runs down the hall to her parents’ bedroom screaming, ”
There’s an alligator in her pillow and she needs mom and dad to make it go away. Over a few nights, Naomi’s parents groggily try different approaches to rid Naomi’s pillow of the alligator, but in the end it is Naomi who comes up with a way to face her scary nocturnal visitor.
The book includes a page of “I wonder” questions that adults can use to explore the subject of fear with children (or with themselves).
This year, the Marathon Public Library will be holding events all week, however, the official I Read Canadian Day is February 17. You can celebrate I Read Canadian by attending a virtual book reading of The Alligator in Naomi’s Pillow with local author Mr. David Giuliano on February 18, 2021 at 1:00PM with a question-and-answer period to follow.
I Read Canadian Day is a national celebration of Canadian books for young people, with the goal of elevating the genre, and celebrating their breadth and diversity. On this day, the Marathon Public Library would like to invite all families, schools, classes, and individuals to join us in celebrating one of our local authors on a live ZOOM meeting.
