I Read Canadian Event with David Giuliano
Event Information
About this Event
It’s Good to be Here: Stories we tell about cancer is a courageous and deeply personal book about the author’s more than 20 year journey with cancer. It is part memoir, part spiritual meditation in which Giuliano challenges the ubiquitous and one dimensional “battle with cancer” narrative, with alternative narratives about temples, treasure, light, pilgrimage, wolves and love. It is a fiercely honest, at times funny, book about the metaphysics of medicine and the power of story to heal.
Mr. Giuliano will be hosting an event with his most recent publication titled It’s Good to be Here: Stories we tell about cancer. This will also be held on February 18, 2021 at 6:00 PM with a virtual question and answer period. Books from the author of David Giuliano are available for purchase at the Marathon Public Library.
I Read Canadian Day is a national celebration of Canadian books for young people, with the goal of elevating the genre, and celebrating their breadth and diversity. On this day, the Marathon Public Library would like to invite all families, schools, classes, and individuals to join us in celebrating one of our local authors on a live ZOOM meeting.
