Description

Presentation, Q&A and lunch with ICF Global's Sara Smith from 11am-1pm

Workshop: The Journey to Mastery - Establishing the Coaching Agreement from 1:30-3pm.

ICF Vancouver Island are delighted to offer our members a chance to meet a visiting member of the Global Board.

We'd like to invite you to join us for lunch and a chance to hear first hand from Global their view on the outlook for coaching and the work the ICF is doing to create a future for us.

Please bring your questions and join us for what promises to be an interesting and inspiring conversation.

  • We will talk about what the ICF is working on at the global level to increase the visibility and understanding of coaching to organizations across the globe.

  • You will hear how credentialing, ethics and ICF-sponsored research help create more opportunities for us all.

  • Find out how you can take advantage of the many ways membership offers value to you and your coaching practice.

  • We will discuss the value of being a contributor to the success of the ICF, not just a consumer of services.

  • There will be an opportunity to ask any questions you have about the ICF.

After Sara's presentation we'll break for lunch, and then you're invited to join us for her workshop:

The Journey to Mastery: Establishing the Coaching Agreeement

In the early days of coaching, Establishing the Coaching Agreement meant to be sure and have a contract with your client. Today’s coach knows the second Core Coaching competency as the “ability to understand what is required in the specific coaching interaction and to come to an agreement with the prospective and new client and the coaching process and relationship.” It is one of the most valuable and sometimes most misunderstood of the competencies. Come learn about what it really means, how it is invaluable for the coach and how to get to the “thing beneath the thing” with your client. We will talk about the competency: what it means for you as a coach and how it is measured. You will watch a coaching demonstration and then debrief what you heard.

Our local chapter MCCs are being encouraged to come along and share their own coaching mastery in supporting the workshop and discussion that will follow.

Participants will receive 1.5 Core Competency CCE's for attending this workshop.

N.B. ICF Vancouver Island Chapter is pleased to offer both the lunch and the workshop for free to give local coaches an opportunity to engage with a representative of the Global Board.

In return we ask that if you sign up and cannot attend, please cancel your registration at least 48 hours before the event.

You may chose one or both of the ticket options depending on whether you plan to stay for one or both sessions.
