The IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's is Canada's biggest fundraiser for Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. Walks take place in over 300 communities across Canada and raise over $5 million dollars. The money raised at the Huron County walk locations stays in Huron County to support programs and services in your community that improve quality of life for people living with dementia and their families and support other activities like education and public awareness.

The IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's is not only a great opportunity for communities to rally around this increasingly prevalent disease, but it is also a fun way to raise awareness and vital funds that will make a world of difference for Canadians who are affected.

Right now, more than 1200 people living with Alzheimer's disease or other dementia in Huron County. Everyone will be touched by dementia, whether it is a relative, a friend or someone in the community. We still don't fully understand the causes of dementia and have yet to find a cure. But growing evidence shows that regular exercise like walking helps lower the risk of dementia and can improve the well-being of those with the disease. Any physical activity that gets your heart pumping also benefits your brain.
