Description

An afternoon to get inspired, connected and challenged. With the UN Sustainable Development Goals as a focus, students and mentors will gather to converse about innovations to some of today's most challenging problems.

Food will be provided at 12:00. An appreciation event will happen for the mentors at 3:30.

Kevin Kardaal - CEO / Superintendent, Central Okanagan Public Schools

Parker Burns - 2017 iGen Winner

Michael Ross - iGen Rocket Launcher

Students and mentors will play mentorship 'hockey' with three periods of conversations to connect ideas, intiatives and inspirations.

Further mentorship iteractions can include:

Feb 21 or Feb 22 half day to check in on progress and further the student projects

Feb 28 as part of the Change Up event

March 10 half day at UBC Okanagan as part of the Central Okanagan Inquiry Expo

Ongoing communication via text or email

June 7th iGen celebration of learning event as part of Metabridge
