Regulated pipelines in North America have been placed under intense scrutiny. Pipeline leaks, lack of maintenance, and human error have been some of the reasons for product releases damaging the environment and corporate reputations. This presentation will provide an overview of why a pipeline audit should be in your audit schedule and look at an overview of how to perform one.
Neil Chapman, CIA, CRMA, CCSA
Neil Chapman is the principal and lead auditor at I & O Assurance Services Inc., a third party provide of assurance and auditing services. Neil is an operational auditor with over 18 years in the Oil & Gas and Utilities sectors. He has performed pipeline audits for companies in Canada and the US which has resulted in improved compliance to regulations, conformance with operating standards, and oversight to senior management on the effectiveness of their Pipeline Integrity Management program. Neil also holds an MBA from the University of Calgary.
