Description

Up Ghost River by Edmund Metatawabin

A powerful, raw and eloquent memoir about the abuse former First Nations chief Edmund Metatawabin endured in residential school in the 1960s, the resulting trauma, and the spirit he rediscovered within himself and his community through traditional spirituality and knowledge.

Regional staff are welcome to join via Centra.

Join us as we explore contemporary Indigenous issues through six highly-acclaimed books written by Indigenous authors. Discussions will take place in the Paterson Learning Commons and will be hosted by Cathy McRae and Lisa Jack. Please sign up for each session individually. Copies of the books will be available on a first come, first serve basis for those who register. Refreshments will be provided. Sessions count towards earning your Indigenous Learning Outcomes badge.
