Event description

Description

iLunch is Interactive Ontario's monthly lunch-and-learn series that provides skills development and networking to interactive digital media producers and those in other sectors wishing to learn more or collaborate with IDM creators. Each session includes lunch, a panel discussion or presentation, Q&A and networking time.

Session Description

In this month's iLunch, George Paravantes from Humber College's Usability Lab will teach us how eye-tracking can be an effective user research tool. You will learn how to uncover learnability, efficiency, memorability, errors, and satisfaction in your interface designs.

Eye-tracking can be a useful tool for a UX practitioner. When planning, preparing, and conducting eye tracking studies, learning to interpret eye movement can help guide design research with gained understanding of both qualitative and quantitative data collected. In the context of usability it lets us discover how a user navigates a page; a valuable feedback tool for creating interactive media products.

Join us for this hands-on session to learn more about the exciting work being done at the Humber College Usability Lab and gain practical knowledge that will help you understand the importance of user experience in your project planning.
