About this event
Linda Leith was born in Northern Ireland and attended schools in London, Basel, Belfast, Paris and Montreal, graduating from the University of London, which granted her a PhD on the work of Samuel Beckett when she was 24. A novelist, essayist, literary translator and the founder of Blue Metropolis International Literary Festival and Linda Leith Publishing, she lives in Montreal. Linda was appointed as an officer of the Order of Canada in 2020.
She will talk about her book The Girl from Dream City: A Literary Life.

Linda Leith est née en Irlande du Nord et a fréquenté des écoles à Londres, Bâle, Belfast, Paris et Montréal. Elle a obtenu un doctorat de l’University of London pour son travail sur l’œuvre de Samuel Beckett lorsqu’elle avait 24 ans. Romancière, essayiste, traductrice littéraire et fondatrice du Festival littéraire international Metropolis bleu et de Linda Leith Publishing, elle vit à Montréal. Linda a été nommée officière de l’Ordre du Canada en 2020.
Elle parlera de son livre The Girl from Dream City: A Literary Life.
