Event description

Description

Join us for a series of free walking tours and a workshop to help develop a vision for Gastown's streets.

Following a Welcome by Shane Pointe at 1:30, walking tours will begin. Tours include:

  • Heritage by John Atkin
  • Business by Leanore Sali, Gastown Business Improvement Society
  • Public Space by Andrew Pask, Vancouver Public Space Network
  • Active Transportation by Emily Willobee, Better Environmentally Sound Transportation
  • Laneways and Community Building by Davin Boutang, the Binners’ Project

You will be able to participate in one walking tour. Please choose your walking tour upon arrival.

Following the tour, you are invited to join us in a workshop to discuss ideas, and provide comments and feedback about the future of Gastown’s transportation network

Please register for the event - the workshop has limited space. However, a drop-in open house will be available to everyone, with no space limitations, from 1.30pm – 4.30pm.

About the project: Gastown Streets are in need of repair. We now have a unique opportunity to work with people who live, visit, work, and commute through Gastown to consider the future of the area and create a plan for the streets and transportation network.
