Event description

Description

Can you imagine playing hockey during war time?

Our brave Canadian soldiers played hockey on the frozen ‘Imjin’ River whenever they were given time away from their front-line duties.

Now, more than six decades later, we are pleased to hold a re-enactment of these historic hockey matches! The event will take place at TD PLACE at Lansdowne in Ottawa on Saturday, November 18th at 5PM.

Two Regiments, PPCLI and R22eR, will go head-to-head with each other – just as they would have done during the Korean War!

If you love hockey and have a passion for cheering on our Canadian military hockey teams, we invite you to join us at the game! Admission is free!!

We welcome you to come out with your family and friends for this meaningful event. Not only is it a great opportunity to honour our Korean War veterans, but it’s also a wonderful experience for our young Canadians to have fun while learning about the importance of Canadian’s contribution to the Korean War.
