This course will provide a step-by-step approach for immediate implant placement and loading with an overdenture. The lecture and hands-on components will include treatment planning, surgical skills, and prosthetic techniques and allow the participants to apply immediate overdenture therapy to their everyday dental practice. Hands-on component will include pig jaw simulation for proper soft tissue manipulation including flap reflection, suturing for immediate loading, and finding and safely reflecting mental foramina.

A “Ski and Learn” Concept: Course is February 11-12, 2022 with February 13 being optional for Skiing at Sun Peaks Resort (45 minutes drive from Kamloops). Sun Peaks is Canada’s Second Largest Ski Resort. Shuttle will be provided to and from Kamloops/Sun Peaks.

Learning: Friday and Saturday | Optional Skiing: Sunday

Kamloops airport is only a 30 minutes flight from Vancouver (multiple flights offered daily)

About the Speaker: Dr. Ho-Young Chung, DDS

Dr. Chung was raised in Kamloops and has been a proud resident of Kamloops since 1992.  He obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of Victoria and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Western Ontario in 2010.

Dr. Chung  is the founder and clinical director of CEJ Academy.  He lectures across North America on various topics in Dental Implantology including immediate implants and implant overdentures. He is a Key Opinion Leader for a number of dental implant companies including Zest Anchors. He has twice performed Live Implant Surgery at Pacific Dental Conference in 2016 and 2019.

His full-time practice in Kamloops is exclusive to surgery and implant dentistry. Dr. Chung also maintains privileges at the Royal Inland Hospital.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Chung is a passionate skier and mountain biker.  He is also an ardent weekend baker and loves making croissants, pain au chocolate and babka from scratch.
