IMPROV FOR ANXIETY with Chris Dinger
Improv For Anxiety is a wellness based workshop to help people who suffer from anxiety learn to live richer, fuller and more meaningful lives. Whether it's social anxiety, stage fright, or general anxiety, improvisation creates an ideal experiential learning environment to practice dealing with your feelings in a totally different way. Through basic improv exercises, participants will learn to use the tools of acceptance, non-judgement, and present moment awareness to address the thoughts and feelings that can get in the way of living fully. Chris Dinger, creator and instructor of this workshop is a professional performer and Managing Director of SAK Comedy Lab in Orlando, FL. Chris is not a therapist, nor is this workshop meant to replace therapy. This workshop is an exploration of the process that helped lift Chris from a life bogged down with persistent anxiety and depression to a life where he can feel a variety of emotions without getting trapped by them (most of the time). Stop fighting with your anxiety and learn a new way to approach the world. Let us help you begin that journey!
No experience necessary.
This public workshop is offered as part of Improvaganza: Edmonton's International Improv and Sketch Comedy Festival. Full festival details at rapidfiretheatre.com/improvaganza
