Improving the Health of the Rocky Saugeen: A Year in Review
Event Information
About this Event
Come and celebrate with us and hear what the Chapter got up to this summer and what we have on the agenda for next year! This is not meant to be a formal event, but more of a social gathering!
Upcoming projects for discussion include:
- Plan to remove the Town Pond dam on Armstrong Creek (Jeff Graham presenting)
- Ministry of the Environment, Conservation, and Parks (MECP) water sampling of Barrhead Creek in 2019 (Chris Wren presenting)
- Nuisance plant (Chara) growth in the Barrhead Creek in 2018 versus 2019 (Bob James presenting)
Light snacks will be provided but we are hoping that you will bring your favourite appetizer or dessert! This is not a requirement to join us, but thought it would be fun! Coffee, tea, and pop will also be provided.
We'd also love to hear from you, the people who live in the area, about what makes the Rocky Saugeen River so special and your hopes and concerns for the watershed!
