Event description

Description

Plum Johnson’s prize-winning memoir about packing up the family home after her mother’s death is a powerful story of family, love, loss, legacies and the power of faith to guide us.

Islington United Church is pleased to present this exclusive audience and afternoon tea with Plum Johnson. Plum will share personal reflections about her journey -- through the challenges of caregiving, loss and grief, making sense of complicated family relationships and how she felt guided to write this book. The story is hers alone but the life lessons are universal.

You won’t to miss this if you have ever:
·Struggled to cope with aging parents
·Experienced the challenges of caregiving for a loved one
·Mourned the death of a parent, spouse or other close relationship
·Packed up the contents of a house, a life, a family’s memories…

Book clubs welcome! Individual ticket sales or tables of 8 available.
