CREATIVE CIRCLES 2019, BURNLAW (UK)

CHOOSE ONE OR MORE CREATIVE CIRCLES OR A COMBINATION TO SUIT YOUR INTERESTS

Each program costs £125 including registration, course fees and all meals with subsidies available for those on restricted incomes.

Creative Circles give you an opportunity to explore your interests and nurture your creative talents in the peaceful atmosphere of the Burnlaw Centre, in the beautiful Northumberland countryside. Learn from accomplished professionals and experienced tutors in a carefully balanced program of masterclasses, workshops and presentations. Form new friendships and develop lasting bonds with fellow artists from around the world and also find time and space to pursue your own muse, to write, reflect and perfect your skills.

Creative Circles allow you to share your own work and insights into the creative process and gain valuable feedback in a supportive environment. Explore networking, collaboration and publishing opportunities and discover how to access funds and resources. With your help we can also draw deeply from wellsprings of love, share learning, build capacity and engage in discourse on the role of arts in the betterment of society.

To ensure a high quality program and intimate atmosphere only a limited number of places are available so book now to avoid disappointment. Take advantage of discounted rates by combining two or more programs or adding extra days. Select your dates and confirm your place through our online booking service.

Program Fees, cover the cost of venue hire and use of Burnlaw Centre facilities, plus tutor expenses, course materials and all meals and refreshments. Funds are available to help where needed and some scholarships and internship opportunities are offered. Catering: Our menus are prepared by our experienced chefs, using healthy, locally produced food. Vegetarian and gluten free options are available but do let us know if you have special dietary needs. Hot and cold drinks, snacks and fruit are freely available around the clock on a self-serve basis.

Travel: The Burnlaw Centre is located in the Pennine Hills near Hexham, in Northumberland, England. Nearest regional airport is Newcastle. The centre can best be reached by private car, but if using public transport we can usually arrange to have you picked up from nearby bus or train stations In Hexham or Haydon Bridge. Local taxis are also available. You will find Burnlaw clearly marked on Google maps. http://burnlaw.org/

Accommodation. (Not included in program fees)

ONSITE:

OFF SITE (own transport required)

Subsidies and Scholarships. We are a privately financed family foundation registered as a not-for-profit agency. Our long-term goal is to make our events self-financing by covering our direct costs but currently are reliant on donations and volunteer efforts to support our programs. We can provide some subsidies to those in full-time education, with limited incomes or special needs. FAQs

Internet. Free internet is available but the remote hilly location means that connectins can sometimes be patchy.

Age. Creative Circles programs are designed for adults only, aged 16+. We do support children and youth programs at other venues, but for reasons of safety and security at his time cannot accept children.

Vehicle Access The Burnlaw centre is situated at the bottom of an unpaved farm road, which may not be suitable for some vehicles. Parking is free but in a nearby field.

Wheelchair Access. There is disabled access but there are many steps and areas of broken ground, so those with mobility problems should check
