Join Michael Rivest, Associate, HCMA Architecture + Design and Co-Founder, High Level Line Society, on October 14 for a guided tour of the proposed High Level Line.
Wouldn't it be cool if downtown and the south side of Edmonton were better connected? If pedestrians, cyclists and streetcars shared the same path? If families, students, seniors and visitors shared an amazing linear park in the centre of our city?
The High Level Line is an unsolicited proposal to stitch diverse neighbourhoods together in central Edmonton and create an unforgettable experience along the way. The award-winning vision includes a 4.3 km long linear park that makes better use of the retired CP rail corridor and the top of the High Level Bridge. In addition to better connecting the north and south sides of central Edmonton; the project activates a series of high-potential spaces, creates new moments to appreciate Edmonton’s beauty, highlights the storied past of the area, and challenges how well-designed infrastructure can change how we experience our city.
NOTE: This tour will include 1 hour of walking, so please dress accordingly
