In the Kitchen with James Meadows - Community Food Connect Series
Event Information
About this Event
This week, we are in the kitchen with James Meadows of Catering by James Meadows! James, creator of all things delicious and amazing, along with his wife Mary, are long time supporters of our Youth Centre and are very excited to be in the kitchen with you.
This week's menu: Chicken & Mushroom Alfredo
The Ignite Youth Centre is connecting youth and community through food with our Community Food Connect - In The Kitchen With Series. Each week, we will offer Youth ages 10 -19 an interactive cooking experience in our kitchen. The experience will be hosted by a Volunteer from our Community.
Participating Youth ages 10 -19 will work in the kitchen with the Volunteer to create a delicious and nutritious meal. While in the kitchen, the Volunteer will not only be teaching youth some amazing culinary skills, they will also share a little about their own life experiences and be available to answer questions and offer guidance. Participants will receive a kit with some basic kitchen supplies so they can then re-create the meal for their family at home.
All Covid19 public health safety guidelines will be strictly adhered to. Once registered, participants will receive forms to be completed and returned prior to the event.
The Community Food Connect Series is supported by the Government of Canada’s Emergency Community Support Fund and Elgin-St. Thomas Community Foundation.
*in an effort to share this generosity from our supporters with as many households as possible, we are currently limiting the kits to one per household and limiting registration to one session*
