In The Moment Dementia Friendly Art Tour
Event Information
About this event
Join us for an informal tour of the exhibits, followed by coffee and a creative activity.
Please come in a pair. People living with dementia or impacted by dementia are invited to take part with a care partner, friend, or family member. All stages and ages are welcome.
What happens on the tour?
We'll explore and discuss a small selection of artworks in the gallery (3 or 4 per tour) while seated in front of the artwork. The conversation continues with a coffee after the tour, which is accompanied by an optional creative activity. It's a great chance to enjoy looking and learning about art in a social atmosphere.

About In The Moment:
In The Moment dementia friendly art tours are designed to spark moments of joy, creativity and connection. Run in partnership with the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington, the In The Moment program aims to decrease isolation and improve wellbeing for people living with dementia. These tours encourage curiosity, creativity, and learning new things while having fun and getting inspired by art.
We thank John and Rebecca Short for their support of this project, as part of the Sharing Experiences program.
