Description

September 29 is the feast day of 'St Michael and all Angels'. To celebrate, St Michael's Anglican Church Vaucluse is hosting the St Michael's Day Convention. This event is open to all St Michael's parishioners, their friends, local Churches, schools and organisations,

Throughout the day, we will enjoy fellowship, worship, great food and hear from three academics speaking on their respective areas of expertise:

  • Dr Bruce Kaye: Megatrends - A 40 year reflection; lessons for the Church today.
  • Dr Alexandra Robinson - Jude, then and now; how this ancient text brings transformation and change
  • Dr Mark Hutchinson - Six outstanding Christian leaders you should know; lessons for our generation

Jonny Robinson from the CityAlight organisation will be providing music.

Members of the local community and other churches and organisations are all welcome to attend.

Event programme:

    • 9.30-10.00am Registration and Refreshments
    • 10.00-11.30am Session I - Welcome, worship, interview: Dr Bruce Kaye:
    • 11.30-11.50 Coffee break (provided)
    • 11.50 - 1.00pm - Session II - Worship and interview: Dr Alexandra Robinson - Jude then and now
    • 1.00pm- 1.45pm Light lunch (provided)
    • 1.45pm- 3.30pm - Session III - Worship and interview: Dr Mark Hutchinson - 6 great Christian leaders you should know; lessons for our generation.
    • Parting refreshments available.
