The Waterloo Region Inclusion Film Series presents:
After Spring
An event hosted by Bridges to Belonging in partnership with Reception House Waterloo Region, and with thanks to our Presenting Sponsor, Menno S Martin Contractor Ltd.
About Us: The Waterloo Region Inclusion Film Series screens films that will inspire, model, or challenge our thinking about what inclusion means. It is a chance for the community to come together and enjoy a film while considering what it means to be included. The Waterloo Region Inclusion Films Series is hosted by, and in support of, Bridges to Belonging.
About the Film
With the Syrian conflict now in its sixth year, millions of people continue to be displaced. After Spring is the story of what happens next. By following two refugee families in transition and aid workers fighting to keep the camp running, viewers will experience what it is like to live in Zaatari, the largest camp for Syrian refugees. With no end in sight for the conflict or this refugee crisis, everyone must decide if they can rebuild their lives in a place that was never meant to be permanent. With a World Premiere at Tribeca Film Festival 2016, the film was Executive Produced by Jon Stewart, and has an average 8.4/10 rating on IMDB.
Please purchase tickets to this event online via Eventbrite, or you can reserve your tickets by calling 519-886-8886 x 2427 or emailing admin@bridgestobelonging.ca. All proceeds will go to support Bridges to Belonging.
