Event description

Description

Robin Moir, the Secretary-Treasurer of the Musicians’ Association of Ottawa-Gatineau - Local 180 of the Canadian Federation of Musicians, will speak about the role the music union plays in the lives of Ottawa’s musicians.

Robin will discuss the benefits of being a union member in the context of touring the U.S., the union’s pension program, instrument insurance coverage, contract protection, and more.

Interested to know the process and cost of being a member? That will be covered too.

This presentation is structured as a conversation, so please bring your questions.

At whatever stage you are in your career, whether you had thought or known about the music union before or not, this session will ideally provide you a better idea about the union is all about and whether the time is right to become a member.
