Description

Indian Horse is a Canadian drama film, premiered at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival, an adaptation of Richard Wagamese's novel Indian Horse. The film centres on Saul Indian Horse, a young First Nations boy who survives the Indian residential school system.

In Indian Horse, the novel, Saul tells the story of his life while hoping to heal and reclaim it. The story is told in first person through Saul's eyes, and through his vision, the reader confronts the racism and abuse that follow Saul once he is forcibly removed from his family.

"Saul's story has touched countless readers and it is our great hope that the movie will continue to inspire audiences and contribute in its own way to the important ongoing process of reconciliation.”
