Description

Dearbhla Trainor sits down with Laura Colonna from Indieep to show musicians how a film exposé can benefit their careers and get their name and brand out into the music community.

Indieep is video series exposing the souls and sounds of independent musicians via professionally produced filmic exposés. “Exposing the souls behind the sounds” is the inherent drive behind indieep’s mission to spotlight Canadian Independent musicians and unveil them to the world.

Born out of pure passion for independent music and the curiosity to get deep into the lives of the artists, indieep features professionally produced filmic exposés of the artists themselves as well as their music in order to allow for personal connections to be made between the music makers and the audience that consumes them. “A major obstacle facing many indie artists is a lack in accessing affordable capital or any capital, to finance professional marketing and promotional campaigns,” says Colonna. “We want to be able to provide a platform that lets them pursue passion and hopefully drive potential revenue and opportunities. When you listen to music, its so much more than just a beat or a lyric. There is a life and experiences behind it that is the essence of the craft. We want to allow people to not only hear the music but we want them to connect with the soul and that’s what makes our content unique in such a noisy digital world.”
