What is the opportunity?
Building off the successes from the first Indigenous Business Gathering, the Government of Saskatchewan is pleased to be hosting the 2nd annual Indigenous Business Gathering (IBG) on February 28, 2023.
The purpose of the event is to share an understanding of the breadth and capacity of Indigenous-owned businesses that operate across Saskatchewan, and to provide a networking venue where Indigenous and non-Indigenous companies, municipalities and Crown corporations can meet to discuss supply chain, procurement and partnership opportunities.
Who will be at the Indigenous Business Gathering?
Indigenous Economic Development Corporations and Indigenous-owned companies looking for supply chain, procurement and joint business partnership opportunities;
Multinational companies looking to connect with Indigenous-owned companies for procurement, supply chain and joint ventures;
Saskatchewan Crown corporations looking for Indigenous companies for their procurement and supply chain needs; and,
Municipalities interested in utilizing more Indigenous-owned businesses in their current and future procurement plans.
What will the gathering be like?
Registration and tradeshow booth set up will commence at 9:00am with opportunity for networking from 10:00am - 12pm.
Over the lunch hour welcoming remarks will be provided by the Government of Saskatchewan followed by a keynote address on the importance of building partnerships.
Additional tradeshow and networking will take place from 1pm -3pm, concluding with a speakers panel with businesses in Saskatchewan sharing insights from their endeavors on developing successful business partnerships together.
Is there a cost to attend the gathering?
There is no cost to register for this event.
