Event description
Indigenous Business Mixer Explore the Indigenous economy, businesses, and procurement opportunities in Northeastern Alberta.

About this Event

Tribal Chiefs Employment and Training Services Association builds bridges between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples, businesses, and communities through diverse programming, providing tools, research, training, network building, and local events.

We planned the Business Mixer because of the overwhelming mutual interest of Indigenous and non-Indigenous businesses to improve and facilitate procurement opportunities within the Tribal Chiefs Ventures communities as another key element of Economic Reconciliation.

During this event, you will have the opportunity to share ideas, network, and interact with peers, colleagues and TCV Indigenous businesses and community leaders. Come and share practical business experiences and explore solutions to the challenges faced by today’s Indigenous and non-Indigenous business leaders.

BUSINESS MIXER AGENDA PREVIEW

The Business Mixer will include key note speakers and panel presentations that will explore the diverse industries that are of key importance to the Northeastern Alberta economy. Experts will evaluate successful Indigenous and non-Indigenous business partnerships and present potential procurement opportunities.

In the afternoon, in addition to the strategic business mixer sessions, there will be Indigenous entrepreneur and Start Up breakout sessions, the SME resource center, and other interactive workshops and educational sessions.

The Business Mixer discussions and workshops will identify challenges, solutions, and opportunities for Indigenous communities and businesses and in key areas such as:

• How to Develop True Indigenous Business and Procurement Relations

• The Future of the Oil & Gas Industry in Alberta

• Explore the Growing Market of Renewable Energy

• Indigenous Cannabis Connection

• Alberta Indigenous Tourism

• Indigenous Waste Management and Climate Change

• Technology and Indigenous Communities

• Agriculture Opportunities for Indigenous Communities

*The Business Mixer portion is where we set up meetings with TCV Indigenous businesses or community representatives to sit down, one on one, and discuss their products/ services and build constructive relationships.

To be offered to attend the Business Mixer, we would require that delegates provide real business opportunities for discussion at the event like immediate/upcoming/future projects, economic development opportunities, available service/products, or potential partnerships.

Take the right steps and develop true and valuable relationships with Tribal Chiefs Ventures communities and businesses. With your support today, we can help change tomorrow!
