About this event
Are you an educator or frontline worker who would like to grow their understanding of Indigenous culture and perspectives in Tkaronto?
ENAGB Indigenous Youth Agency invites people working in EarlyONs, Daycares, Elementary & Secondary Schools, Colleges, University's and frontline workers who work with Indigenous people to join us in this one day cultural awareness training.
During this training you will learn how you can infuse Indigenous cultural knowledge into your classrooms and workspaces while maintaining a safe environment. We are also happy to provide each participant with a resource manual to bring home.
ITINERARY
9:00am - 10:00am | Importance of Cultural Infusion in your Spaces with Cynthia Bell-Clayton
10:00am - 11:00am | Stages of Life with Vivian Roy
11:00am -12:00pm | Hand Drum Teachings with Tasunke Sugar
12:00pm - 1:00pm | LUNCH & Indigenous Foods with Candace Esquimaux
1:00pm - 2:00pm | Understanding the Medicine Wheel with Memengwaanh Bell
2:00pm- 3:00pm | Land Base Learning with Ocean Bell
3:00pm - 4:00pm | Odawa/Ojibwe with Cynthia Bell
4:00pm - 5:00pm | Question & Support Panel of all Presenters
$300.00 per person RSVP by Eventbrite only (includes and resource manual)
Spaces are limited.
We ask all participants to bring their own reusable food bundle (plate, fork, bowl, etc...)
