About this Event

BCAAFC and the BC Human Rights Clinic are partnering to provide training on human rights at Kermode Friendship Society in Terrace on May 25, 2020 for our first training workshop. The goal of the training is to give Friendship Centre staff information and knowledge about laws that protect us from discrimination in BC.

The workshop will cover

• the laws protecting human rights in BC

• the process for making a human rights complaint

• resources for assisting community members who have experienced discrimination

The workshop is for BCAAFC staff hosted by Kermode Friendship society (Terrace)and open to Smithers and Prince Rupert friendship centre staff other service providers. The Clinic will work with you to help spread this information out to Indigenous people in your communities.

Please register to reserve your spot and ensure we have enough food.

1st session: May 25, 2020

2nd session: June 29, 2020.
