About this event

Online Event:

Indigenous peoples have used wild plants for centuries as food and medicine. At this virtual event come discover how these plants support us physically, emotionally and spiritually with Lori Snyder, a Métis herbalist and educator. You'll learn how to identify medicinal and edible plants - native and non-native - in our urban landscape, and you'll discover how their properties can improve wellness. There will also be a short virtual tour outside so attendees can learn about the plants growing around us.

Bio

Lori Snyder is a Métis herbalist and educator who shares the wisdom and traditions of her indigenous roots. Tsuu T’ina, Anishinaabe, Cree, Nakoda, and Nipissing Nations are mixed with her Scottish, French, and Celtic ancestry. She loves honouring the plants and their medicines which are growing all around us.
