About this event
The Joint Economic Development Initiative’s (JEDI) Indigenous Reconciliation Awareness Module (IRAM) provides education to organizations, educators, government and First Nation communities on Indigenous history and its impacts on Indigenous Peoples to the present day. In addition, we discuss reconciliation and what that means to you and your organization.
The virtual IRAM delivery has been broken into 4 partial days:
Day 1: A virtual delivery of the KAIROS blanket exercise will run for approximately 3 hours. We kindly ask for your full commitment to this time frame as it is important to have the full attention of all participants.
Day 2 - 4: These days will be broken down into webinars of cultural awareness on various topics (history, demographics, statistics, and moving forward with inclusion and reconciliation). Day 2-4 of webinars will run for approximately 2.5 - 3 hours. We kindly ask for your full commitment to each webinar session.
2. Number of participants:
The minimum number of participants is 15, and the maximum number of participants is 35. If we do not meet the minimum we will re-schedule for an alternate date.
3. Costs and payment:
The cost of IRAM delivery is $300.00 per participant. Seats can be paid for in full by clicking "General Ticket" or by invoice by clicking "Invoiced Ticket (Pay Later)" upon checkout. IRAM is now free for Indigenous Peoples. Please email a photo of your status card to ashley.brooks@jedinb.ca for the discount code.
Additionally, companies who are collaborating with an Indigenous business or community where both parties are taking this training, are now eligible for 50% off seat prices for all non-Indigenous participants. Please checkout with the "Invoiced Ticket (Pay Later)" option for this discount if you have discussed this option with JEDI.
