WHY ATTEND?

There is an expanding demand for labour in all industries. How can Indigenous Tourism BC ensure that tourism is considered a viable career for Indigenous people and support Indigenous people with growing a career in this field? Let us know the challenges you face, and ideas on what could work.

HOW YOUR IDEAS WILL CONTRIBUTE

Information shared in these sessions will first be framed in a research report that shows 'what is currently going on with labour for Indigenous tourism operators, and Indigenous people working in tourism BC-wide. Then this data will be used to shape the strategy - the challenges, needs and ideas gathered in these forums will frame the strategy with the proposed approach to be shared in more regional sessions in fall 2020. Then you'll have a second chance to shape the future of tourism for Indigenous people and tourism businesses.
