Empowering Indo-Caribbean women through representation and togetherness.
About this event
Brown Gyal Diary's Indo-Caribbean Women's Empowerment Brunch is unique, curated event that shares the experiences of powerful Indo-Caribbean women who are creating a pathway for our community, despite the difficulties we may encounter. We are building confidence and mental wellbeing through collaboration and togetherness. We are creating a boss-babe space where Indo-Caribbean are represented.
The brunch is our first official fundraiser to kick-off the launch and development of our Indo-Caribbean Mental Health Directory, which is a project that will be building out a website to turn our current PDF directory, into an interactive site that offers free resources to Indo-Caribbean mental health professionals worldwide.
The event will feature speakers, vendors, local Indo-Caribbean business owners, Indo-Caribbean talent, and goody bags!
Event Speakers:
Desiree Mckenzie: Award-winning poet, arts educator, national poetry slam champion, voice actor, and photographer
Natasha Ramsahai: Meteorologist for Citynews 680 and Breakfast Television.
Nadia "MCNadzzz" Chandra: Radio Personality, VIBE 105.5FM + others
