Event description

Description

Course Description:
Greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting is now a fundamental part of environmental and social responsibility in the industrial sector. While there is considerable written direction as to the methodologies to be used, there is very little detail as to the practicalities of various approaches and the sensitivity of the results to the approach used. This often leads to errors in the reported values which can adversely impact the GHG verification process and the credibility of the data presented.
This seminar will discuss GHGs in the context of industrial production both for combustion and process emissions.

Who Should Attend?
Professionals who are responsible for the preparation and dissemination of GHG quantification assertions for cap and trade, federal or provincial reporting, and/or securities discussion and analysis.

Course Outcomes:

  • Assess quantification methods appropriate for a given source type
  • Determine the validity of such methods to specific projects or facilities
  • Consider the potential sources of error and how these may be minimized
  • Ensure better preparation for the verification process

Admission to ECO Canada's Environmental Professional Networking and Climate Change Event is included with your workshop ($40 value).
