Infant + Child First Aid/CPR
Wed, 12 October 2016, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM MDT
What would you do if your child was choking?
What are the signs you need to look for to prevent your infant or young child from choking? Did you know that CPR administered on an adult is very different from what you do for a child?
Take this workshop to learn why + feel safe knowing that you are there for your child until help arrives.
People of all ages can suffer heart failure.
From choking to cardiac arrest, the situation is life-threatening and requires swift, effective response. Knowing what to do can save a life.
Join us as an experienced St. John Ambulance instructor, who is also a mom to 2 small children, leads us in an informative and stress-reducing workshop that will prepare you and give you the confidence and essential skills you need to deal with the unthinkable. There will be infant mannequins for hands-on practice. The workshop will be targeted towards newborn- 8 year olds.
