About this Event

Are you a teacher looking for a new challenge?

Learn how to become a faculty associate with SFU's Professional Development Program (PDP).

For over 50 years, SFU’s Faculty of Education has been pushing the boundaries of education. Taking a non-traditional, community-first approach, we are a leader in educational research and a pathfinder in Canadian teacher education — having developed over 20,000 teachers since 1965.

The long-standing Professional Development Program (PDP) uses a unique staffing model that teams faculty members with seconded teachers (faculty associates) and classroom teachers (school associates) to deliver the highest quality educational experiences for student teachers.

If you're interested in using your educational knowledge and experience to help supervise and support student teachers through their placement and practicum assignments, consider joining our team as a faculty associate.

Hosted by the coordinator team, this online information session will detail the requirements and expectations of the role, the application process, and answer any questions you might have.
