Eric Termuende - Eric Termuende is a globally recognized thought leader, author, and international speaker on the future of work and building teams that thrive, His best-selling book, “Rethink Work” has become a must-read for today’s leaders. As co-founder of NoW Innovations, he is creating a movement bringing diverse leaders together to share best practices and evolve in the NoW. As a popular media personality, he is featured in Forbes, Thrive Global, and The Huffington Post. Named as an American Express Top 100 Emerging Innovators Under 35, he was a representative for Canada at the G20 Summit in Sydney, Australia.
Megan Woerlein - Megan Woerlein is currently the VP, People at Crowdriff. Megan has over 12 years of experience building, leading and enabling high performing teams within the tech sector. She kick-started her career in New York where she worked alongside hyper-growth start-ups such as ZocDoc and Square helping them headhunt the best possible technical talent and organize them smartly around problem-solving and innovating. She then moved home to Toronto and honed her skills in both product and professional services focused tech companies such as Architect, one of profit500’s fastest-growing tech firms in Canada and Joist, a product company that’s a prime example of the Toronto start-up community with over 800,000 users and counting. John Stockwell - With nearly twenty years of experience in the talent sector, John Stockwell is a proven results-oriented executive who brings a diverse range of experience in national, multinational and global companies. As a key member of the Canadian executive team at Dentsu Aegis Network, he leads all human resources initiatives including talent planning, development and recruitment, career pathing, performance management, and employee engagement. Poonam Tewari, Human Resources Director, Ubisoft Toronto
A proven leader with over 13 years of experience in strategic Human Resource Management, Poonam Tewari is passionate about establishing HR as a true progressive strategic partner within an organization. She specializes in employee relations, recruitment, selection, and training and development. Her passion is to provide a true customized individual experience to the employees for long term engagement.
In her role as Human Resources Director at Ubisoft Toronto, Poonam attracts and develops the best talent—building a culture of engagement, agility, and innovation that has become a trademark of the Ubisoft Toronto studio. Under her guidance, recruitment strategies and progressive HR programs, Ubisoft Toronto has grown from 150 talented creators in 2011, to over 600 in 2017, and is on track to grow to 900 team members by 2020.
Poonam has featured in the 2018 hot list of the HRD magazine, Canada. Throughout her career, Poonam has established HR strategies and initiatives that have resulted in enhanced morale, retention, and employee motivation. A champion of talent development—she has introduced management learning, development, and coaching frameworks to strengthen effectiveness in organizations of varying sizes and maturity. Under her leadership, Ubisoft Toronto has been on Canadian Top 100 employers for 3 years consecutively along with the HR team winning “The Accompass award for the Canadian HR team of the year (500 employees or more)”.
A techie at heart, Poonam holds a Masters and Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Application along with a diploma and certification in Human Resources.
Sarah Beech - Sarah is the President of Accompass, a division of Gallagher Benefit Services (Canada) Group Inc. She is responsible for the overall management and operation of the firm. Sarah has more than 30 years’ experience in the benefits industry. She began her career as an underwriter with a major Canadian insurance company, becoming the department supervisor within two years. She joined Hewitt Associates, a global human resources and outsourcing firm in 1990, where she eventually led the benefits consulting practice and, later, the entire Canadian consulting operation. She joined Accompass in 2012. In her current role, Sarah creates and implements the firm’s business and marketing strategies, and builds, develops and manages new and existing client and third-party relationships. Sarah is a member of the advisory board of Benefits Canada magazine and is a frequent spokesperson and author on the topic of employee benefits, including articles and interviews in Benefits Canada, The Globe and Mail, and speaking engagements such as the Economic Club of Canada, and the Conference Board of Canada. Sarah is a member of the Corporate Industry Council for Homeward Bound.
Naomi Titleman Colla - Naomi is Founder of Collaborativity Inc. (collaborativity.ca), a Toronto-based consultancy focused on driving progressive talent strategy in this new world of work. She has proven success leading teams and collaborating with senior executives and Boards of Directors to develop and implement creative strategies to maximize employee engagement and ultimately drive business impact.
Naomi is also a monthly contributor to the Globe and Mail’s Report on Business section and co-founder of future foHRward (futurefoHRward.com), whose mission is to engage Human Resources Leaders in driving the “future of work” agenda.
