The Guelph Entrepreneurship Society and Guelph Engineering Society are proud to present the second annual Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition! This competition is targeted towards Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Engineering students at the University of Guelph, with the goal of encouraging students across different programs to compete with and against each other to create an innovative solution to a relevant issue. The I.E.C will ignite and promote innovative and entrepreneurial spirit among students from different backgrounds, encouraging collaboration and cooperation.

We have created a case competition tailored towards both commerce and engineering students. By creating a welcoming and collaborative environment students are able to enjoy and feel more comfortable with the event and their teammates. Solving the challenge of this case requires collaboration between all students on the team. This competition will connect four students on a team, in the hope that they are able to develop team-building, networking, and collaborative skills while igniting their competitive spirit. The day of the competition will entail a work period and presentation’s to a judging panel made up of University faculty and industry professionals. There will be a grand prize of $800 for the winning team!

Note that there is a deposit of $10 (+ Eventbrite fees) for the event. The $10 will be returned after the competition.
