This course provides a deep-dive into design thinking for education and takes teachers on an entrepreneurial journey. Participants will experience design thinking methods first hand by participating in a sustained experience of creating their own solutions to real problems, from identifying an opportunity, to user discovery, to ideation, prototyping and iteration. By the end of the course, participants will have a toolkit of methods and activities to use in their classroom or school for solving big problems and engaging students in design thinking challenges. This cohort will run two full days in person - February 4th and March 4th (9am-4pm), with four weeks of online learning and collaboration (via video conference) in between (Tuesday evenings 8pm-9pm). The FDS team will also be available one-on-one, as needed, to mentor you through the process.
We believe that the best way to learn is to do. During the certification training you will be working on your own passion project. Come prepared to work hard and have a lot of fun with a group of dynamic educators!
Upon completion of the training, teachers will have the option to purchase a liscence for the FDS App, which provides a plug-and-play learning experience for their students. Only Certified Innovation Leaders have access to this exclusive content! You will also be invited to join our online community of educators who are sharing and collaborating to bring creativity into their classrooms.
