About this event
In conjunction with the Innovation Untold student media contest, Innovation@UCalgary presents a three-hour workshop on how to turn your storytelling vision into reality. Learn how to use video tools and equipment in this three-hour workshop. All levels welcome.
Who : UCalgary students, faculty and staff
Where: Hunter Hub for Entrepreneurial Thinking
When: Friday, February 14, 12:30- 3:30 p.m.
Participants will learn:
- How to frame a shot
- Different shooting styles
- Handheld, dolly, using a tripod
- Lighting techniques, setup and lighting a subject
- How to capture B-roll
- Basic filming/directing etiquette
- How to make your subject comfortable, working with a small crew, safety, working with what you have
- Capturing sound for film
- Choosing an ideal location
- Resources in Calgary for equipment rentals
