Innovative, low cost ways to reduce flooding

Thursday, July 13th 2017, 1-2pm (EDT)

Learn about a great opportunity for your municipality to use green infrastructure and other retrofit options to help vulnerable neighbourhoods adapt to extreme rainfall.

Green Communities Canada helps municipalities across the country to save money, reduce flood risk, and protect water by managing rain where it falls. We’re creating a network of municipalities interested in implementing neighbourhood-based approaches to flood reduction. The network will provide access to case studies, webinars, and workshops designed to meet your needs. Your municipality will benefit from training opportunities with leading experts, peer to peer knowledge sharing, and customized support.

In this webinar, we’ll discuss:

  • How cities are addressing flooding in vulnerable neighbourhoods
  • What opportunities are available through the municipal implementation network
  • What training or support would be most useful to your municipality
