Event description

Description

What does telling a story in virtual reality mean and how is it different from conventional filmmaking. In this course we will look at this new medium and how it’s shaping the way people are telling stories in a 360 degree environment. By looking at the challenges and opportunities of immersive storytelling we can explore tips, tricks, and techniques to ensure you’re prepared to make your next virtual reality experience a masterpiece.

Elli Raynai is a writer, producer, director, and VR filmmaker. He formed the production company Cinehackers in 2015 to focus on making cinematic VR experiences. He has made two feature films and eight short films but his passion for art and technology led him to explore the possibilities of telling stories and creating experiences in virtual reality. His latest experience "I Am You" was the official selection of the 2016 Kaleidoscope VR World Tour and can now be found on the Gear VR store.
