INSIDE PEACE - Toronto Premiere Screening & Live Skype Q&A with the Stars
Thu, March 30, 2017, 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM EDT
INSIDE PEACE is a documentary about three ex-innmates marked by generations of violence and addiction, who attend Peace Classes in a Texas prison. During these classes, we witness their internal struggles to rediscover their humanity, finally understanding real potential for rebuilding positive lives on the outside.
A live Skype Q&A after the screening will give the audience a chance to interact with two of the stars of the film asking questions and making comments.
SOMETHING POSITIVE IS HAPPENING HERE
Dr. Michael Gilbert, Associate Professor of Criminal Justice at the University of Texas, has said:
"Something very positive is happening here. Offenders seem to find understanding of themselves and a personal sense of inner peace, all of which may be needed to break destructive cycles and behavior patterns that have led them time and time again to jail and prison."
