About this event
Are you thinking of submitting your work to the Art Gallery of St. Albert for exhibition, but feeling overwhelmed by the process? Then this workshop is for you! Both beginner and established artists wishing to create strong submissions for gallery exhibitions will benefit.
Participants will:
- Meet the Art Gallery of St. Albert staff involved in our Exhibition and Retail Galleries.
- Tour the exhibition spaces.
- Learn more about our 3 open calls for submissions (main gallery, vault and stairs).
- Learn about our submission requirements, along with tips for making a strong submission.
- Get an introduction to the AGSA’s mandate, educational programs, and how that impacts our exhibitions.
- Learn about artwork presentation, artist contracts, insurance forms, curriculum vitae, artist statements and how to send your submission to the Gallery.
- Get an overview of our Art Rental and Sales program, and its call for submission.
- Have the opportunity to ask questions!

This workshop will be held in person at the Gallery. This workshop is free, but we gratefully accept donations.

We strive to keep staff, volunteers, visitors and program participants safe in our programming spaces and we will continue to follow all provincial government regulations.
OUR PROGRAMS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING SAFETY PROTOCOLS:
• All staff and instructors are fully vaccinated
• Those experiencing illness should not attend class (refunds/transfers available on a case by case basis)
• Increased cleaning of high-touch surfaces
• Individual supplies for each student
• Masking is encouraged
Please note, there may be an occasion where we are unable to safely offer regular classes consistently due to the unpredictability of COVID-19. This could result in classes being interrupted, canceled, or moved to online, depending on the program.
Secure your spot early, and help ensure your class runs. Ticket sales for most programs close 7 days prior to the class, and refunds will be granted up to 7 days prior to the start of the class. View our community class cancellation and withdrawal policies.
