How do I register for the 5K Run/Walk?

You can register online through our Eventbrite page. Early registration is encouraged to guarantee your spot and receive event updates.

Is this a timed race?

No — this is a fun run/walk, not a chip-timed race. You’re welcome to track your own time if you’d like.

What time does the event start and where is it located?

Accepted Answer

Check-in opens at 3:00 PM at the Cuddy Sports Complex. Opening remarks will follow, and the run begins at 4:00 PM.

Where does the run end?

Accepted Answer

The route finishes at the Strathroy Night Market, where participants are welcome to stay, celebrate, and enjoy the evening.

Will roads be closed for the route?

Accepted Answer

No. Roads will remain open, but volunteers and police will be stationed at key intersections to ensure safe crossings.

How long will the event last?

Accepted Answer

Most participants finish within 30–60 minutes. Once you complete the route, you’re done — the event does not last 5 hours.

Do I have to run the whole 5K, or can I walk?

Accepted Answer

This event is for everyone! You’re welcome to run, jog, or walk the route at your own pace. Strollers and families are encouraged to join.

Will there be water stations or refreshments available?

Yes! Water will be available along the route.

Are children or strollers allowed?

Yes! Families are welcome, but children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.

No. You’re welcome to head home once you finish, or you can stay and enjoy the Night Market.
