Event description

Learn to Lead With Courage

Follow the call to be more courageous and step into your potential in a safe, inspiring space where you will explore your own values and beliefs about leadership.

If you want to unlock your potential as a leader, you are in the right place, and we are excited to bring you this two-day experience in personal development and leadership-uplevelling.

In our own experience of training, growing and learning under Brené Brown, we knew that this was what the world was calling forthe integration of personal growth and best leadership practices. Although this work can feel scary as we step into vulnerability, this is our time to “do the work” so we can show up in every leadership role we play in our life, families, communities and workplaces.

Experience the discomfort, the awakening, and the growth that Dare to Lead creates.

What to Expect

The Dare to Lead™ Program with DTL Facilitator, Diane Lloyd, consists of 16 hours of learning, reflecting and growing with other emerging and experienced leaders. Meditation practice provided by mindfulness expert and leadership coach Nicole McLellan will support you and help integrate the deep learning.

Program Dates & Times

May Cohort: May 15th, 16th, 29th and 30th from 8-12pm PST

June Cohort: June 5th, 6th, 19th and 20th from 8-12pm PST

About the Dare to Lead™ Program

Based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown, Dare to Lead™ is an empirically based courage-building program designed to be facilitated by organizational development professionals. Brené is a research professor at the University of Houston where she holds the Huffington Foundation – Brené Brown Endowed Chair at The Graduate College of Social Work. She has spent the past two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy, and most recently completed a seven-year study on courageous leadership. She is the author of five #1 New York Times bestsellers: The Gifts of Imperfection, Daring Greatly, Rising Strong, Braving the Wilderness, and Dare to Lead, which also debuted at #1 on The Wall Street Journal and Publisher’s Weekly lists. The most significant finding from Brené’s latest research is that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable.

The most significant finding from Brené’s latest research is that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable. The Dare to Lead workshop facilitated by Diane Lloyd will include self-reflection, interactive activities, and short videos hosted by Brené (that are not available to the public) to create a rich learning and courage-building experience that will explore:

Rumbling with Vulnerability: Facing risk, uncertainty and emotional exposure with courage and clarity.

Living into our Values: Identify, operationalizing and practicing beliefs that we hold most important.

BRAVING Trust: Creating or deepening connections in relationships and teams based on the seven elements of trust.

Learning to Rise: Learning and growing from the failures, setbacks and disappointments that are inevitable when we are brave with our lives.
