Instagram for Costume Professionals

This brand-new course, designed specifically for costume professionals, is a hands-on work session to help participants grow their following and get noticed by the right people.
Participants will leave with 9 edited and prepared photos to use on their own Instagram accounts as well as the tools to improve their social media presence and following going forward.
Instagram Branding Strategy
Promoting your work as a brand, creating professional posts and protecting your brand
Content Creation and Social Calendar
Planning and managing your social media calendar, how to effectively use hashtags to gain followers and how to piggyback on trends and topics
Influencer’s Top Tips and Secrets
How to gain the right followers
Editing your photos on Instagram and other programs as well as how to enhance the not-so-good images
Participants should bring their tablet or phone and a minimum of 9 images for editing at the workshop. Email any questions to firstname.lastname@example.org.
About the instructor
As well as having completed a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Geography, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Image Arts Photography and a Masters in Fine Arts in Photography, Elaine Chan-Dow has instructed Photography at York University, in addition to hosting her own course “Instagram for Makers”.
Her award-winning photographic works have been on display in multiple exhibits throughout Ontario and NYC. By using her tried-and-tested formulas, she increased her Instagram following by 1,000 in just 3 weeks and has developed this training course to help others do the same. Elaine currently has a studio in the Distillery District, where she both works on her own and commissioned projects as well as instructs photography classes.
