Event description

Description

Did You Know: It can take over 700 gallons of water to make just one cotton T-shirt. Value Village is challenging Vancouver to come together and save 700 million gallons of water through one simple act: making your next new T-shirt a thrifted one. This National Thrift Shop Day (August 17), celebrate thrift by showing that you give a sh!rt about your clothing footprint. @InstameetVancouver and @valuevillage_thrift invite you to a pop-up art installation like you've never seen before. Take photos of this massive art piece out of 3,000 pounds of used clothing and learn how you can give a sh!rt about the environment by thrifting. We hope you’ll feel inspired when you realize the environmental impact clothing waste has on the planet.

Come see how Value Village turns this message into art! Meet new and old friends, take exclusive photos and have a blast on August 17, 5 p.m. The secret location has been revealed! We will be meeting in front of the Vancouver Aquarium. Register to join now!

We've never had an event like this before! Can't wait to see you!!! Share your excitement by tagging your posts #igiveashirt.
