All materials, equipment and instruction provided free of charge from Richmond Canada 150 and the Richmond Art Gallery.

Appleseed Children's Playhouse is an indoor educational playground where we strive to create integrated activities and programs focusing on developing skills for school and life.
The Rainbow Forecast Project, is a non-profit art and community initiative founded by Alanna Ho in 2016. The project aims to share children’s stories through new media and contemporary art spaces.

Engaging youth in the process of creating and performing in public means…

  • developing confidence in showing their work and expressing ideas
  • expanding possibilities and potential for creative output
  • encouraging collaboration with peers and creative professionals passionate to work with youth; this develops their social, digital and creative literacy
  • art is not just "painting, drawing, clay"! Exposure to video, installations, theatre, and soundwork helps youth project their ideas in a multidisciplinary method
